For the past 27 years, I have been regularly working with adults and couples of all sexual orientations who have been seeking relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety, attention deficits, issues of orientation, and relationship tensions (please access my profile on www.therapistfinder.com for more information).
I have a special interest in issues of permanent separation: to help partners and family members adjust to the changes that separation brings, to wisely choose a method of separation that is appropriate to their abilities to communicate and least destructive to their children.
As a Collaborative Coach, I work with a form of legal separation called Collaborative Law or Collaborative Divorce through which partners develop a concise picture of what they want their post separation lives to look like financially, emotionally, relationally and, if they have children, what they want the relationship between them and their other parent to look like. This becomes the base upon which all their decisions and agreements for separation will be made; at the end of their work with me and their collaborative team, they will have a legal, enforceable document that secures their vision of their future, and protects each partner’s, parent’s and child’s need for a stable future and healthy relationships.

Partners will have accomplished this with dignity, privacy, moderated levels of conflict and, very importantly, without ever having gone to court. Through Collaborative Law, partners will not be using the courts as a battleground, but they will have honed their capacity for resolving issues constructively, together, in the present and as they arise in later years.
