Therapist Michael Dale Kimmel is facilitating a workshop on 20 February, from noon to 1:30PM, at The San Diego LGBT Center in Hillcrest.

Topics will include:

  • acceptance of the past/letting go of old regrets/not getting bitter
  • comfortable with uncertainty/direction/goals/vision
  • giving back/being a role model/mentoring
  • self-discovery/staying young mentally
  • loving your aging body in a youth-obessed culture
  • single/dating/coupled? how to do it gracefully as we age
  • self-confidence: what do you love about yourself?

The workshop is part of the Lunch and Learn series at The Center. While it focuses on LGBT men and women 50 and over, it is NOT limited to this demographic. A light lunch (sandwiches and sodas usually) will be served at noon-ish. It’s a classy event, don’cha know? No charge either.
